there are many courses in my college. but the most difficult and the most impressive course is japanese. before i entered the college, i thought it is easy to learn japanese well --just like learning english. but actually, things were not as simple as i thought. at first i even can not read a sentence for it’s not easy to remember the pronunciation of words. it was extremely time-consuming and challenging to memorize rare words and distinguish words similar to chinese. at that time, i particularly admired those students in agronomy or pure biology for they don't have to memorize words and grammar. but everything is changed since i met professor smith. he told us to dive into the culture behind the language first before memorizing grammar, taking exams and pursuing high scores. at that moment, i understood what the original intention of language learning was. so i did as what he said, and i really got great progress in japanese. so japanese is the most difficult yet most impressive course in my college life.
